EDUCATE:
Designing generative learning environments that broaden perspectives and elevate competenciesDrawing upon interdisciplinary and experiential approaches, I support adult learners to become more aware of the "lenses" through which they and others view the world. Through strategic analysis, critical self-reflection, and even expressive arts, adult learners gain deeper and also broader perspectives around their own learning that, in turn, upgrade their capacity to navigate through ambiguity, uncertainty and conflict.
A scholar practitioner, my teaching methods are rooted in social constructivist views of adult education, and specifically in transformative learning theory and praxis. I have a special interest and facility for designing curricula and learning programs for high-performing, expert-oriented professionals that are interactive, inclusive and relevant across the full spectrum of roles in which they serve – from individual to group to organization to society. I offer my curricula through public workshops, custom-tailored private training programs, and professional development coaching for individuals, cohorts, teams and organizations interested in elevating their competencies. I also partner with academic and non-profit institutions to design and deliver courses for their students. I believe in the unparalleled value of learning within a dedicated cohort, the significance of physical space and environment in helping to shape learning experiences (especially through access to nature), and the importance of intercultural and intergenerational dialogue in framing the limitless possibilities that arise through collaborative learning. |
